About WMLHP
In September of 2011 the Women's Mid-Life Health Program received status under the Saskatoon Health Region (Now the Sask. Health Authority). This has provided an expansion of the referral clinic and support program to help a larger number of women create dedicated health plans to achieve their own better health at mid-life and beyond.
The program team includes 4 physicians, a nurse, a Medical Office Assistant and access to a number of other health care practitioners for specific care and support needs.
Who We Support
The Women’s Mid-Life Health Program helps women in several ways by providing a variety of resources to:
- Women who are approaching menopause (called perimenopause)
- Women who are in the post-menopausal phase of life
- Referring physicians
- Other associated health care professionals (pharmacy, nutrition, nursing, medical & nursing students)
What We Offer
Our program helps women to make informed decisions about their mid-life health by:
- Exploring options to manage their peri/post menopausal symptoms
- Promoting healthy lifestyle choices to prevent disease
- Identifying women at higher risk of disease through appropriate screening
- Providing diagnosis and optimal treatment
We provide care for over 50,000 women in cities and towns around Saskatchewan.
At Women's Mid-Life Health Program, we are improving women’s lives through better health during mid-life and beyond.
